The Mori Memorial Foundation Urban Strategy Research Institute has announced the 2024 edition of the Global Comprehensive Cities Ranking (GPCI). Tokyo is ranked 3rd in the world for the same reason as last year. Ranked in the top three for the first time in “Culture/Exchange”. This was driven by improvements in tourism resources such as “satisfaction of tourist destinations” (11th place) and “sufficiency of nightlife” (8th place).
