The Japan Tourism Agency has earmarked 54.3 billion yen as a supplementary budget for FY2024. Implemented “revitalization and high added value of tourist destinations and the tourism industry”, “improving the environment to accommodate overtourism, etc.”, “expanding inbound tourism by promoting tourist attraction to local areas”, and “supporting tourism revitalization following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake”.
