The total number of foreign overnight guests in June 2024 is expected to be 13.47 million nights, up 40.5% from the same month in 2019. Foreigners account for 26.7% of the total number of overnight guests, including Japanese. The three major metropolitan areas saw a 59.7% increase from the same month in 2019 to 9.84 million nights, accounting for 73.1% of the total.
