Japanese atomic bomb survivors’ group wins 2024 Nobel Peace Prize


TOKYO — Nihon Hidankyo, Japan’s nationwide organization of atomic bomb survivors, won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday.

The group, officially known as the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations, was formed in 1956, 11 years after the atomic bombings, by survivors from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
