The idol group “Meno New Year” held their second one-man live at Shimokitazawa Shangri-La in Tokyo on the 4th. They performed a new song for the first time and announced two new members.
Menu, who appeared in new costumes, started the live performance at “Shangri-La”, the same name as the venue. During the interlude part of the song “Happi☆Raki”, they tried the New Year’s annual hidden trick. Haruna Yamazaki and Nao Hinata succeeded in “Balloon Art”, Saine Yagami and Rie Kagurazaka in “Plate Spinning”, Ryoko Saba in “Kendama”, and finally, Aihime succeeded in “Pulling a Table Cloth” to liven up the venue. Ta.
In the new song “New Year Happy Ism” that was performed for the first time, Yagami wrote “eye” as this year’s kanji. They then performed their signature songs “OHHH☆YEAHHH!!!” and “Start Line,” which increased the excitement in the venue and ended with “Suki Suki☆Weekend.”
The members reappeared in response to the encore. Yagami was grateful that there were over 300 people, saying, “The scenery was completely different from the first (one-man) event.Once more people came in, it became a different world.” Leader Hinata was worried about attracting customers, but commented, “When I was in the dressing room, there was an announcement saying, “Please fill up in front,” and I felt relieved.” Furthermore, he said, “During the song ‘Start Line,’ I felt that both people who knew the old songs (of the unit) and people who were newly introduced to the menu came to the venue.” He revealed that he did.
Hinata then said, “I would like to give you all some important news,” and then producer Anna Tachibana appeared. After Tachibana’s New Year’s greetings, “Come on, you two!” It was Saotome Nagisa and Kira who appeared. Tachibana declared, “These two will be the new members of Meno New Year!” The venue was filled with cheers and applause when the two men innocently announced their determination.
The one-man performance, which was as lively as the New Year, ended with “RESTART++.” Menu Menu’s producer Tachibana, who had a successful second one-man performance, said, “I felt fired up from the rehearsal. The main highlight, the Hidden Art Corner, had failed even in the rehearsal, so I was worried.None of them had been successful until now. However, all of them succeeded in the actual performance, so the menu was strong in the actual performance.I felt that I was lucky in the entertainment industry.”
Regarding the two new members, “We have chosen two people who we think will bring a breath of fresh air.Saotome has given an energetic performance in “Zenyasai Lover,” so we hope that she will be on the menu’s powerful stage. I hope that Kira will put that energy into it.I think the mysterious atmosphere will be a great spice for the menu.”
Saotome, a new member (scheduled to debut in early spring), said, “I was happy to see the faces of people who know me happy with my announcement.I was able to give a good report, and it made me want to work hard from now on.” Ta”. Kira commented, “The announcement was made in a way that excited people, so I felt less nervous.I’m really looking forward to what’s to come.”
Saotome has been active as a lover of the trainee group Zenyasai since April last year (disbanded after the live performance on January 17th). “I’m good at dancing, and I want to make use of that. I’ve been active in a variety of fields, including modeling, theater, and photo shoots, so I’d like to continue to promote myself through that.” Kira enthusiastically says, “I want to hone my dancing and singing so that I don’t lose to my seniors, entertain the audience, and grow as a group. Outside of that, I want to expand my range of acting and other things.”
A new menu menu. Tachibana expressed his wish for great progress, saying, “I hope we can grow into a group that can power up, balance with new members, and be able to perform on even bigger stages and on TV and radio so that many people can get to know us.” I made it.
